What you’ll learn

  • How to think through the CCNA engineering questions; including the tricky ones that rely on context and “best” answers.

  • A basic understanding of networks is helpful.

In this narrated course, we go over 50 practice questions accompanied by explanations of each topic, all designed to help you pass your 200-301 CCNA exam. This course includes how to recognize trick questions and contextual/abstract concepts, as we look at and answer questions about IP protocols, subnetting, network topology, VLANs, the OSI model, IPv4 and IPv6, and more.

This course is formatted as series of questions with a moment to pause each question to try to answer it on your own. Then, each question is answered and explained so you understand why the answer is correct. This is a good format because it also gives you time to take notes and cross reference additional information from your study books. And as we know, reading or viewing +  taking notes + hands-on practice, is the best method for remembering what you have learned.

Of course, bear in mind that this is not a brain dump and that no practice exam can predict the kinds of questions you may need to answer correctly, or the number of and types of problems you may be required to solve. In fact, there are known to be 8 versions of each Cisco certification exam. Also, sometimes the question or problem requires that you choose the “best answer” even if none of the answers are correct; and be aware of the time you have left to complete your exam because all certification exams are timed. Having good foundational knowledge and using simple techniques like abbreviating your commands during live-action network troubleshooting will save you time.
